Projects
SM41 is a home built on a deep, narrow plot, where the technical execution had to optimise every metre without compromising light, comfort or visual openness. The house is arranged over the ground floor and two upper levels, with three double en-suite bedrooms, a study, a guest toilet and an open-plan living area combining kitchen, dining room and lounge.
The ground floor opens onto the garden through large timber-framed doors, creating a direct connection with the terrace, swimming pool and outdoor living area. This indoor-outdoor continuity increases the sense of space and brings greater lightness and flexibility to everyday living.
From a construction perspective, the project combines durable, low-maintenance materials. Porcelain flooring and wall finishes are used throughout the floors and bathrooms, providing resistance, visual clarity and aesthetic continuity. Stainless steel taps reinforce the functional and contemporary character of the home.
Timber adds warmth through joinery, wardrobes, doors and interior details, balancing the sobriety of the mineral surfaces. The staircase, built with a metal structure and timber steps, stands out as a light yet technical feature. Its vertical slats act as a filter, defining the space without blocking natural light.
SM41 shows how precise construction can turn a complex plot into a comfortable, bright and coherent home. A compact, carefully executed project designed for long-lasting everyday use.
